BHS Cardiovascular Consultants is composed of Dr. Dean Wolz, Chief of Heart & Vascular Services at Butler Memorial Hospital (BMH), Dr. Sunder Rao, Interventional & Clinical Cardiologist, and Dr. Jamil Mohsin, Clinical Cardiologist. The group, which sees patients at offices at BHS East in Butler, BHS WholeHealth in Cranberry Township and Family Healthcare Partners in Grove City, uses a multi-disciplinary approach to fighting heart disease which includes an array of preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic and restorative services.

Dean Wolz, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Dean Wolz is a widely-recognized expert in the field of interventional cardiology and is the new Chief of Heart & Vascular Services at the Heart & Vascular Center of Butler Memorial Hospital.
A graduate of the West Virginia University School of Medicine, Dr. Wolz did his internal medicine residency at York Hospital, an affiliate of the University of Pennsylvania, and a cardiovascular fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital.
From 1994 to 2008, Dr. Wolz was a partner in the Frazier-Hart, Inc., Cardiovascular Group. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and cardiac angiography and is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the Allegheny County Medical Society.
Jamil C. Mohsin, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Jamil C. Mohsin joined BHS Cardiovascular Consultants following a fellowship in interventional and endocarvascular cardiology at Allegheny General Hospital.
Prior to that, Dr. Mohsin was a visiting fellow at the University of Alabama Heart Center and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He did his internship and residency at St. Joseph's Hospital, an affiliate of the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he earned his M.D.
Dr. Mohsin has held appointments at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center of the University of Virginia, Proctor and St. Frances Hospitals in Peoria, Illinois and St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He is proficient in Percutaneous Intervention, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and board certified or board eligible in each.
Sunder R. Rao, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Sunder R. Rao came to BHS Cardiovascular Consultants from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he served as Director of the cardiac catheterization lab at UPMC Passavant.
He specializes in interventional cardiology and is also board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Rao received a postdoctoral research fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine, and he served a residency in internal medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, a cardiology fellowship at Boston University Medical Center and a fellowship in interventional cardiology at St. Vincent Institute in Portland, Oregon.
He was in private practice with North Hills Cardiology Associates from 1992 to 2003 when he joined UPMC. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Allegheny Medical Society, the American College of Cardiology and the New York Academy of Sciences.
Samer Azouz, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Samer Azouz is currently offering cardiology consultations in Venango/Clarion county PA as the newest member of BHS Cardiovascular Consultants.
He is board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease and endovascular medicine, and he also specializes in services such as nuclear cardiology, echocardiogram and the treatment peripheral vascular disease.
Dr. Azouz did his internship at SUNY Stony Brook, NY, his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Missouri and a cardiovascular fellowship at the University of Chicago, where he was Chief Fellow.
Dr. Azouz has been performing cardiac procedures at Butler Health System for almost a decade.
